Old but great location, sorry to see it go in about a year as it is being rebuilt to a very high end boutique hotel in 2027.

We just stopped over for a night. We got a great deal on a suite through Expedia. So glad we chose to do that because we had a ground level with a nice balcony that our dog could sit out on to watch people walking by. We were very close to the marina. We walked the dog down the walkway in front of the marina just before sunset. Most of the little shops were closed, but it made us want to come back another time. The sunset was lovely lots of people out taking an evening stroll. The lodging was fine. The bed was comfortable. It was a clean room Minus a couple dead cockroaches. Maybe that’s the norm for California? Anyway, we had a comfortable stay with a comfortable bed and a decent breakfast in the morning. It was quiet and we slept well. Very convenient place to stay and it doesn’t break the bank. We chose this place mainly because it was pet friendly and glad we did.

I am really pleased with my experience at this hotel. I’ve stayed here one or twice before. This was best service I’ve had here. Aris was so friendly & informative! Very knowledgeable, and my interaction with him was the same you would get at a five star hotel. We travel alot but this was a last minute staycation for us. He showed great management skills to the point where I’d like him to be hired where I work where we are currently short staffed. This hotel is lucky to have him and I’ll probably be back due to this last experience. Thank you again Aris!!

Great location for walking around especially with your dog! Very friendly staff. Room was decently clean compared to the reviews I read but did have a smell. Coffee from the breakfast was great! It really wasn't that bad of an experience for the price. Would recommend!

We paid about $166 CAD ($115 USD) for 4 nights. Staff was exceptionally friendly. Location is amazing. Complimentary breakfast was bare bones but nice to have. We had a comical experience at 3am where the power went out in our wing and full on intense construction started happening right outside our window. The front desk was very apologetic and got us in a new room immediately where we stayed for the rest of the time. Make no mistake. This is a budget hotel, however. The hot tub may not be 104 degrees. There may be an old stain on the floor. Housekeeping may not come every day. Temper your expectations and enjoy it for what it is - a budget hotel in a great location.

Christine is a rockstar, after checking me in I booked the most basic room and asked her for a location of the hotel that was quiet she went above and beyond my expectation and upgraded me to a pool and harbor view. I was originally going to stay for a week but surprise my mom for her birthday and left four nights early. I talked to Christine again and asked her if there's any way for a refund even though I booked it from a third party site. She gave me all the info I needed to acquire the refund:) I know they're going to bulldoze this hotel down and put up a bougie boutique hotel I hope that they will keep Christine and turn her into a manager for that hotel her customer service is what is expected but again she went far above my expectations:) regarding the hotel the rooms are clean but older furniture but comfortable. The hallways do have some stains but still clean. If you do get a room over the pool just know that sound will flow straight up especially with kids below if you want an absolute quiet experience I would get away from the pool or just close your patio door but California in the winter time and the weather was so beautiful I had to have the door wide open:) there was a nice hard shut off I think around 10:00 p.m. closing of the pool and then everything was very peaceful and quiet after that. Great location to walk your dog down by the boats walk to dinner walk to heritage Park and the other park across the street. Walk down to doheny Beach go surf doheni Beach. There is a fee for parking so do beware of that and that fee is per night. You can always ask for them to comp it. I've been on a road trip for 4 months going hotel to hotel Airbnb to Airbnb and in my travels I've asked for things and I've received only because I've asked. The worst thing they can say is no. Would I stay here again probably not, and the only reason I'm saying that is because I'd rather choose a different location something a little bit more bougier. But overall for the area it's clean, great staff, great breakfast meaning free food doesn't mean it's healthy and I got a great rate. Also the location is super safe and the facility is pet friendly but there is a pet fee.
